Twittevolution Space - 2009 - currently under development - is an evolutive installation that follows a twitter account. The ceiling has 140 deformable points capable of translating vertically. Each point follows a character from the post.

Some thoughts on Twitter :

Twitter is a blogging tool used to publish short posts containing the same number of characters as a mobile phone text message : 140 . Users have the possibility of updating their accounts by sending an SMS, extending the limits of Internet publication beyond Internet itself. Twitter users have a strong tendency to expose their personal lives and thoughts. Reading an account in a linear way makes no sense at all. In order to find coherence, it is necessary to see the user’s history. Another phenomenon in Twitter is the illusion of proximity people can have. The ease with which one can access information about others using this tool is somewhat disconcerting.
